What Is Identity?
The Second Graders at Bowman School have been taking a close look at what identity means - the things about each of us that make us special. Part of our identity can be that we're American. It can be that we love dogs. We can be pianists, artists, readers, students, Chinese, Indian American, Christian, Muslim, Jewish - there are so many parts of our identity that make us special and in order for us to be who we are, each part of our identity needs to be respected and acknowledged.
This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for all of the students in Room 23 and each part of them that makes them unique, special, and the different parts of them that make them who they are. Here are some of the different parts of our identity.
