Becoming Second Grade Readers
We've been doing a ton of reading in Room 23 lately. We've been learning about how second grade readers grow and grow, doing lots of new things in their reading every day. Here a couple of reminders around our classroom for what second grade readers do!
I am SUPER impressed with Room 23 because they kept their focused and sustained reading for 45 minutes on Monday! They were all so immersed in their books, it was like they were traveling to whole new words -- just like what reading should be every day.
... And just wait until you see these kids write!
